10 Years of Innovation. Built for Beautiful Spaces. Designed for Peace of Mind

FD30-Certified Fire-Rated Pocket and Concealed Door Systems from Rocket Door Frames

As Britain enjoys another scorching summer, it's a timely reminder that while great design should always help us live more comfortably, the best products are also prepared for the unexpected.

For the past 10 years, Rocket Door Frames has been helping architects, developers and homeowners transform interiors with innovative pocket door and ultra-flush concealed door systems that maximise space without compromising on style.

Its fully steel pocket door kits have become one of the UK's leading space-saving door solutions, valued for their strength, straightforward installation and exceptional finish. Alongside them, Rocket's ultra-flush concealed door systems have become a favourite among designers seeking uninterrupted wall lines, minimalist detailing and contemporary interiors where the door almost disappears into the architecture.

But while customers often choose Rocket for its clean aesthetics and clever engineering, one of the company's greatest strengths isn't immediately visible.

It's the peace of mind that's built into every system.

Any property can use both pocket and flush door systems to meet their style needs. With the added benefit of FD30 fire rating jamb lining kits comes additional peace of mind

Beautiful Design Meets Proven Protection

In today's construction industry, good design is only part of the specification. Increasingly stringent building regulations demand products that combine architectural excellence with independently proven performance.

That's why Rocket Door Frames invested in comprehensive fire testing with Warringtonfire, one of the UK's leading UKAS-accredited fire testing laboratories.

Both the steel pocket door system and the aluminium two-way push-pull ultra-flush concealed door system achieved full FD30 certification, providing certified 30-minute fire resistance in accordance with UK standards.

Rather than choosing the easiest route to certification, Rocket deliberately specified a flaxboard core door during testing of its pocket door system—widely recognised as one of the most demanding fire door cores available.

The results exceeded expectations.

Instead of simply achieving the 30 minutes required for FD30 certification, the complete system provided an impressive 48 minutes of fire protection, around 60% beyond the minimum requirement.

For architects, contractors and developers, that's reassurance that extends well beyond compliance.

More Than a Door System

Every Rocket door system starts with the qualities customers have trusted for the past decade:

  • Space-saving design that unlocks valuable floor area.

  • Sleek, contemporary styling that complements modern architecture.

  • Robust engineering for reliable, long-term performance.

  • Fast, straightforward installation.

  • Standard British door sizing for easy specification.

FD30 certification simply adds another layer of confidence.

It means homeowners can enjoy beautiful interiors knowing their door system has been independently tested to help protect their family.

It gives architects greater confidence when specifying contemporary spaces.

It helps developers meet today's demanding building regulations without compromising the clean, minimalist aesthetic their clients expect.

Because protecting lives and property should never be an optional extra.

A Fire-Rated Jamb Designed Around Design Freedom

Integral to Rocket's FD30-certified system is its purpose-designed fire-rated jamb lining.

Installed after the door has been fitted, the timber jamb conceals the head and running gear while lining the internal steel pocket entrance to create the crisp, architectural finish Rocket is known for.

Manufactured from high-density, slow-burning European oak, the jamb provides enhanced structural stability and fire resistance while maintaining a refined appearance.

Importantly, Rocket's ultra-flush system doesn't rely on fixed architraves. This gives architects complete freedom to specify matching architraves throughout an entire project, rather than being restricted by proprietary frame profiles—a significant advantage for high-end residential developments, apartment schemes and commercial interiors.

Even more impressively, the complete assembly successfully passed fire testing without the need for applied architraves, further demonstrating the integrity of the certified system.

Ten years after launching, Rocket Door Frames continues to prove that exceptional design and uncompromising safety don't have to be separate choices.

They can be built into the very same product.
