As another year comes to a close, it’s natural to reflect on the milestones, challenges, and successes of the past 12 months. For Rocket Door Frames, 2024 has been a year of exciting growth, new opportunities, and strengthening connections—both within the industry and our community.
Let’s take a look back at some of the standout moments that made this year so special.
Expanding Our Horizons: Factory Visits & Industry Events
Kicking Off the Year in Italy
In January, Ruth and Callum traveled to Treviso, Italy, to visit the facility where Rocket’s pocket door kits are manufactured and packaged. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet with our colleagues in production, discuss future plans, and ensure we’re always delivering the best possible products to our customers.
Showcasing Rocket at the NEC Birmingham
March saw Callum represent Rocket at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC in Birmingham. Over four action-packed days, thousands of visitors—including builders, architects, and DIY enthusiasts—explored our pocket door and ultra-flush door kits, discovering how they can transform modern living spaces.
London Spotlight: Featuring in Archetech Magazine
In April, Rocket was featured in Archetech magazine, highlighting how our ultra-flush concealed door system is being used in commercial settings. The Artisan Group selected Rocket’s concealed door design for their stunning build of Dr L’Art, a luxury aesthetic clinic in London. This project transformed an empty shell into a sophisticated beauty and wellness sanctuary, with 12 beautifully designed rooms showcasing the sleek elegance of Rocket’s doors.
Social Media, Partnerships & Community Involvement
Going Viral: The Power of Social Media
We love seeing our doors in action, and one of our favorite installations this year came from Oli Lee (@withbearhandsuk), who showcased his pocket door construction and cabin build on Instagram this spring.
Social media continues to be a key space for home inspiration, and in August, we partnered with Instagram home influencer Georgina Raine, who has been a longtime advocate of Rocket’s pocket doors. She shared an exclusive discount code with her 190,000+ followers, introducing even more people to the benefits of pocket doors.
Supporting Local Crafts & Sustainability
In August, we also had the pleasure of meeting Simon from Outwoodcic in Grantham, who creates beautiful furniture from reclaimed wood. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we donated pallets to his workshop and can’t wait to see what he creates!
Giving Back: Sponsorship & Donations
September was all about supporting local initiatives.
Ketton Sports Cricket Club in Rutland received new Rocket-branded cricket pitch covers as part of our sponsorship.
After an office reorganization, we donated a table tennis table to the youth center at Earlesfield in Grantham. Jez met with Daniel from Hope Community Café, a fantastic local initiative supporting people in need.
Big Orders, Big Changes & Exciting Growth
Major Projects & Record Orders
July marked Rocket’s largest single order of ultra-flush doors, shipped to a house development project in Littlehampton, West Sussex. Eighteen doors, frames, and accessories were delivered in a single shipment, followed by a custom double concealed doorway order in August.
Welcoming New Team Members
June brought two exciting additions to the Rocket team:
🚀 Jez Orbell (Marketing) – Focused on streamlining our branding and outreach.
🚀 Tristen Thorpe (Business Development) – Helping expand Rocket’s presence and partnerships.
To celebrate, we even got new team polo shirts—because branding matters!
Exhibiting at ExCeL London
In September, Ruth, Callum, Jez, and Tristen exhibited at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show at ExCeL London. This was a fantastic opportunity for our new team members to connect with customers and see firsthand how much demand there is for our innovative door systems. By early October, we were already receiving orders using our exclusive show discount code!
Spotlight on Customer Projects & Print Features
A Stunning Barn Conversion in Cambridgeshire
We love seeing Rocket doors in finished projects, and in October, Ruth, Jez, and Callum visited Pete and Sarah at Cow Shed Barn in Cambridgeshire, where they had installed 14 Rocket ultra-flush doors in their breathtaking barn conversion.
Making Headlines
The impressive build was later featured in the November issue of Architecture, Building, Contracting & Developing magazine. Meanwhile, Rocket also appeared in The Times weekend supplement, with a special focus on fire safety in modern home design.
Looking Ahead to 2025
From new team members and major projects to expanding our reach in print and social media, 2024 has been an exciting year of growth for Rocket Door Frames.
Reflecting on the past 12 months, Callum shares:
"This year at Rocket has been an exciting journey of growth and productivity. One of the standout moments for us has been welcoming Tristen and Jez to the team. Their expertise and enthusiasm have been invaluable as we’ve tackled new challenges and continued to provide exceptional service to our customers."
Tristen adds:
"Attending my first industry show at ExCeL London was a huge highlight. Seeing the latest innovations, meeting people in the industry, and soaking up all the ideas was an amazing experience. Starting a new role is always nerve-wracking, but the Rocket team has been fantastic. And having dogs in the office? That’s just the cherry on top!"
Jez reflects:
"Joining Rocket has been a fantastic experience. It’s a great team where everyone supports each other, whether it’s processing orders in the office or getting kits out of the warehouse. It’s exactly what a team should be."
And finally, Ruth sums up the year perfectly:
